Kyla McNaughten

Solicitor

Kyla first joined the practice as a summer intern while completing her law degree at the University of Waikato. After several years practising in the Waikato, she returned to her hometown in 2026 to rejoin Blackwood Montagna as a Solicitor.

Practising in property and real estate law, with a particular focus on trusts and estate planning, including wills and enduring powers of attorney, Kyla also assists with residential and commercial conveyancing, commercial leasing. She also advises not-for-profit organisations, including charities and incorporated societies, on structure, governance and regulatory requirements.

Kyla is known for her approachable manner and clear communication. She takes the time to understand her clients’ needs and provides practical, tailored advice to help them make confident decisions. With strong attention to detail and a focus on outcomes, she aims to make the legal process straightforward and reassuring.

As a Pukekohe local, Kyla enjoys working closely with her community, supporting first-home buyers, families, business owners and farmers.

Outside the office, Kyla is often found playing or umpiring netball or supporting family and friends on the rugby field.
